The Executive Chairman of Isolo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Olasoju Adebayo, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with the Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA) to enhance its operations in Isolo LCDA and ensure massive capture of residents’ biodata.

Olasoju gave this assurance while receiving the General Manager of LASRRA, Bilikiss Adebiyi-Abiola, at his office during a courtesy visit.

Speaking earlier, Adebiyi-Abiola explained that the visit was aimed at deepening partnership with the council authority to boost LASRRA registration within the LCDA. She commended the council chairman for his consistent and invaluable support for the agency’s activities, noting that LASRRA personnel in Isolo LCDA regularly relay positive feedback about the council’s conducive work environment.

In his remarks, Olasoju reiterated that the council’s sustained support for LASRRA and the likes of state and federal agencies, is in furtherance of his administration’s policy of promoting mutually beneficial inter-governmental relationships for the overall benefits of residents.

He praised the General Manager’s efforts at strengthening ties with local governments and stressed that the importance of residents\' registration for Lagosians cannot be overemphasised.

“Data is central to governance in our contemporary society, and we must commend the Lagos State Government for the foresight behind LASRRA. Just as the National Identification Number (NIN) is essential for all Nigerians, LASRRA is equally important to all Lagosians. The benefits attached to it are immense, hence our administration’s continued efforts to mobilise residents to get registered,” Olasoju stated.

The meeting was concluded with an agreement between the council authority and LASRRA to mobilise women, Community Development Committee (CDC) leaders, and other key stakeholders across the LCDA for a sensitisation campaign scheduled for Friday, January 23, 2026.

Council officials present at the meeting included the Vice Chairman, Hon. Shakir Sadiq; the Deputy Legislative Leader, Hon. Babatunde Amusa; the Council Manager, Mrs. Mojisola Ogabi; the Treasurer, Mr. Moruf Ajiga; the Chief of Staff, Princess Balikis Agbabiaka-Odunsi; as well as the councillors representing Ishagatedo/Ire-Akari Ward and Alagbeji Ward, Hon. Kehinde Ajala and Hon. Akeem Azeez, respectively, among others.
