1447 A.H. RAMADAN: I'M OBLIGED TO WARMLY WELCOME THE MONTH OF BOUNTIES FOR UMMAH — OLASOJU

Isolo, Lagos

Weds. 18th Feb., '26

The Mayor of Isolo, Olasoju Adebayo has warmly welcomed the holy month of Ramadan for the adherents of Islamic faith in his council area and beyond.

His expression was contained in a special release to commemorate the commencement of the lunar month that was made public shortly after daybreak on Wednesday.

"I'm obliged to welcome the month of bounties with warmth for the Ummah of Isolo LCDA and their Muslim brothers and sisters globally," - the release read in part.

Sighting the coincidence of Ramadan and Lent as a positive phenomenon, Olasoju went on to charge the inhabitants of his council area to maximise the divine window to seek spiritual upliftment, national stability as well as personal aggrandisements.

"Worthy of note is the fact that both practitioners of Islam and Christianity have shares in this day. Ash Wednesday and 1st of Ramadan are indications that our creator places premium on us - His creature, and is availing us with a rare opportunity to immerse ourselves in His ocean of spiritual favours.

"It is expected that we shall graciously unlock the abounding opportunities by supplicating in a state of purity and  reverence while the fastings last and even beyond.

May all the goodies of the  month be our portion as we embark on it" Olasoju concluded.

Meanwhile, strong indications have yet emerged that the annual iftar program where the council boss hosts Muslims for the breaking of their fast will hold, as usual, on the council premises.
