2027 ELECTIONS PREP: OSH/ISOLO CONSTITUENCY II HOLDS GENERAL MEETING

Chieftains and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Isolo & Ejigbo LCDAs (Osh/Isolo Constituency II) Friday turned out en masse for their general meeting in preparation for the intra party primaries scheduled to hold in May. Held on the premises of Akinbaye Pry. Sch., Isolo, the meeting had more than the normal meeting agenda to offer as aspirants for the positions of Lagos House of Assembly and Federal House of Reps showed their strengths.

The meeting got underway around 5:00pm with an opening prayer after which the new National Anthem was sang. This was quickly followed by introduction of dignitaries on the high table.

In his opening remarks, Chairman of Isolo LCDA, Olasoju Adebayo welcomed everyone to the meeting and thanked them for their steadfastness. Olasoju painted the theory of a soccer match in which both teams have their managers, opposing fans, match officials and the VAR who figuratively are the duo of Chiefs Ajomale and M.A. Taiwo.

The council boss went on to seek members' opinion on the candidacy of Barr. Ladi Ajomale who is seeking a re-election into the Lagos State House of Assembly. Upon an affirmative response from the massive crowd of party members, Olasoju requested that a motion for the adoption of Ladi Ajomale be formally moved, second and consequently passed. The chairman of Community Development Committee (CDC), Isolo LCDA, Mr. Adesegun Olatunde swiftly moved a motion that Barr. Ladi Ajomale be unanimously adopted as the APC's standard-bearer for the 2027 Lagos House of Assembly, Osh/Isolo Const. II election. His motion was duly seconded by the Iyaloja of Ojoola Market,  Ejigbo, Alhaja Mudirat Badmos. Although, there wasn't any counter motion, the process went into voice voting where 'Ayes' carried the day with no naysayer anywhere around.

Next was the executive chairman of Ejigbo LCDA, Aare Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo who addressed the mammoth gathering. Aare Taiwo pledged his commitment to the reelection of Ajomale as he affirmed that the good people of Ejigbo LCDA will vote massively for the party come 2027 while Otunba Jide Oni assumed the personalities of Chiefs Henry Ajomale and M.A. Taiwo to pray for the Man-of-the-moment, Barr. Ladi Ajomale. 

In his acceptance remarks, Hon. Ladi Ajomale thanked everyone present for the confidence reposed in him as he expressed appreciation by prostrating in the full glare of all present. He disclosed that wards tour would begin soon with the assurance that his visit to each of the wards shall be made memorable.

Adjournment motion and closing prayer then followed while party members as well as  contestants exchanged pleasantries with Hon. Ajomale.
