MEASLES-RUBELLA VACCINATION: OLASOJU RECEIVES HEALTH WORKERS, PERFORMS SYMBOLIC VACCINE ADMINISTRATION
Isolo, Lagos
Weds. 4th Feb. ‘26
The Mayor of Isolo, Olasoju Adebayo Tuesday received health workers deployed to the various communities for the purpose of the measles-Rubella vaccination Campaign at the council premises.
While addressing the Health Workers in their numbers, Olasoju appreciated them for being diligent in the discharge of their duties since the campaign commenced. The council boss singled out the council\'s Medical Officer of Health (MOH), Dr. Anne Okonma for praises saying her coordination and leadership has yet again brought about quality delivery.
\"I\'m particularly impressed by your on-field performance going by feelers from the residents. Your implementation of the mandate right before the vaccination started by ensuring grassroots sensitization to the real campaign which was taken to the nooks and crannies of our council area to ensure that no child is left out and, by so doing, have the highly contagious virus proactively curtailed is remarkable. May I, for the umpteenth time, call on parents who are yet to have their wards vaccinated to haste and do the needful before curtains are drawn on the programme on 5th of February\" Olasoju remarked.
A major highlight of the council chairman\'s meeting with the health officials was his participation in administration of the vaccine on some of the children on the council premises.
Flanked by the MOH and other health workers, Olasoju graciously marked the left thumbs of the vaccinated attendees to certify their administration of the jabs.
